The Maplewood Doppelgangers and their owner Ben started in the now defunct Training Camp league, helped start the Minor League and then graduated to the Main League in 2019. Hailing from Maplewood, Minnesota, Ben married his girl after 7 years together and while they don't have kids (yet) they have some pets they adore for sure. His hobbies include camping, traveling abroad, doing yard work and chilling on the deck with a cold beer in the summer. When asked about something unusual about himself, he says he's worked with just one company (Target Corp.) his entire working life. That is very unusual these days.

His favorite NFL team? The Chargers oddly enough. "When I got into football, I didn't really have a team. I didn't wanna just choose the hometown team (didn't hurt that the Vikings were bad that year). I don't get to watch much football since I work Sundays, but I was able to stream the radio broadcast of some teams. The only one that was a guarantee each week was the San Diego Chargers. I also had Keenan Allen and Ryan Matthews on my fantasy team so I had a vested interest in how they were doing. They also made the playoffs that year with a wild card spot." His least favorite team? "It's tough to narrow down to just one, but the Raiders have to be at the top of the lost and the Seahawks are a close second."

Ben began playing fantasy football in 2012 or 2013 and he says he's still a newbie to the game. He likes winning best (don't we all) but says he hasn't been the greatest at that. He enjoys finding waiver wire gems and roster construction. His biggest peeve in fantasy football is when trade partners won't give up when he's made it clear he doesn't want the player they're shopping and then they forget and try all over again a few weeks later. "Nobody wants the garbage player, just drop him and spare my email from being flooded with your crap offers!" He says he doesn't necessarily have a favorite FF memory but loves doing a live draft for his work league (now defunct) because the whole atmosphere of fun and arguing can't be beat. Last we checked in, Ben was playing in 5 dynasty leagues and 1 redraft/keeper league.

Since joining Roster Wars, Ben has spent a lot more time on his phone and annoying his wife because he was reading the latest post on RW and not listening to her but he'll defend that he doesn't always realize she is talking to him to begin with. That's fair pal. Ben is a very active member of our club and he's the poster child for how this place gets it's hooks into you and makes you a beast. At present, Ben has three patches for running some side games, for article writing and for assisting with writing biographies on our owners to make this site complete. So yeah...he's kind of a big deal!
